Going to MDSW? WISH you were?

Even if you're staying home and only experiencing the Maryland Sheep and Wool festival through others' social media posts, you can still participate in Cooperative Press's Sheep and Cowl promotion.

Check it out:

We love indie dyers, so we've partnered up with more than a dozen of them to run a great contest at Maryland Sheep and Wool this weekend. Join the mailing list at the link above to get your game instructions before Saturday, or pick up printed sheets on site in Cooperative Press' booth. There are both on-site and play-at-home versions of the contest, so everyone can play.

Cooperative Press will be in the Lower Corral area again (near the sheepdog trials), and we'll have 50 limited edition hand-dyed kits for Grey-diant, the cowl seen above.

CP's own Shannon Okey designed a cowl to highlight yarns by each of her favorite dyers who will be at Maryland. (Read more in the related Knit Edge issue 7 article, "Cowl-operation"). After the show, they'll be released as a print book called The Cowls Are Not What They Seem, which you can preorder now from CP, and which will include not only a few more cowls that won't be at Maryland, but also lots of instructional content, too.

Help us spread the word: check out our Facebook pageTwitter and Instagram to find shareable content, or forward this email to friends. Watch the hashtag #sheepandcowl all weekend long for action from the show! Thanks for supporting indie in all its forms!
